New DDR3 memory clock world record

On February 27, a Swiss tuning master, Christian Ney, set a new memory clock world record. The G.Skill RipjawsZ memory pack is cracked at 3736 MHz!

The world record was set with the Gigabyte GA-A75-UD4H motherboard and the AMD A8-3870K APU. The central unit and the 4 GB G.Skill RipjawsZ memories were cooled by liquid nitrogen. The Hynix H9C CFR memory chips serving the module reached a brutal speed of 11 MHz with a timing of 13-13-36-3736.

At the event, Christian Ney remarked that it was a lot of fun to overdrive the G.Skill RipjawsZ memories. In a good tuning way, he felt unlimited possibilities in the modules, which was why the urge to achieve extremely high clock signals was strong.
