Total war: one million viruses on standby

Panda Software has declared a whole-front war on viruses: as part of a concerted action at European level, it has put together a million database of viruses as a result of lengthy research and analysis.

Coordinating all its European subsidiaries, the Spanish-based Panda Software has carried out large-scale research to create a database of one million completely unique viruses. The “collection” (which is unfortunately constantly growing) has so far been made available through their free application called TotalScan.

"It is a frightening fact," said Zsolt Sándor, the company's managing director in Hungary, that, for example, every tenth person in Hungary gets a virus. This action has been prepared in Panda's virus laboratories for a very long time, and we started the project after countless consultations. Unfortunately, our predictions show that we would simply fall short of conventional methods.
