Top 5 - Best mid-range phones from China under 60 thousand forints - April 2018

A week ago, we introduced the cheapest smartphones still usable, and now we’ve selected the most interesting category, the best value for money devices. These phones already have a minimum of eight cores, their display is FHD or in many cases FHD +, ie 1080 x 2016 pixels, they can manage a lot of memory, and the built-in storage is plenty enough to install programs and store our photos and music. Although they have been given pleasant hardware, the goods are not yet beating the stars.

As usual, we have now selected five phones that we can find from well-known manufacturers and emerging Chinese companies as well. What they have in common is that they are much cheaper than similar categories of phones available at home. So let’s see what we offer you this month, let’s start with the cheapest!

Leagoo T5

Leagoo T5 1

Leagoo signed with English first division Tottenham Hotspur football team last year. At the time, the company stated that their goal with the contract was to help the brand expand globally. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen a phone from them since then that would have really moved our imagination. However, the T5 that is now included in the recommendation is still a very well put together phone.

Leagoo T5 3

The classic design phone has a FHD, 1920 x 1080 pixels, 5,5-inch display based on IPS technology. Beneath the panel is a MediaTek MTK 6750T CPU with an eight-core 1,5 GHz processor inside. The mobile comes with 4GB of memory and 64GB of built-in storage, which is quite sufficient for today’s challenges. The Leagoo T5 works with three cameras. On the front there is a pair of 13- and on the back there is a pair of 13 + 5 megapixel cameras.

The Leagoo T5 is a hugely popular phone, with lots of positive reviews, so we dare to recommend it too. Currently we can order for 53 thousand forints here: Leagoo T5 - THFC version

Xiaomi Note 5 Redmire

Xiaomi’s phone is one of the best buy deals of the spring in our opinion. It is characterized by strong hardware, good camera, modern exterior, reliable manufacturer, and at a ridiculously cheap price.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 1

Xiaomi’s new device features an eight-core Snapdragon 636 CPU with a maximum clock speed of 1,8 GHz. The Snapdragon 636 is a fresh unit unveiled last fall, so it is prepared for any task a phone may face today. It has a nice amount of 4 GB of memory and 64 GB of storage. As a result of the new winds, the phone's display already has an 18: 9 aspect ratio and FHD +, ie a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has three cameras. The front panel is 13 megapixels and the back panel is a 12 + 5 megapixel pair. Due to the 13 megapixel front panel camera, this phone can also be classified as a Xiaomi selfie phone. We are waiting for the usual quality and a lot of sensors from the manufacturer, so we also get an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a compass and a fingerprint reader. Radios come with Bluetooth 5.0 and ac standard, dual channel WiFi.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 3

The price of the phone is ridiculous compared to the capabilities it offers, suffice it to mention just the new ASUS phone, which got the same core, the same amount of memory and storage, but the price is essentially double that of the Xiaomi device. Oukitel MIX 2

Oukitel MIX 2 1

The Oukitel phone can be considered a clone of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 not only because of its name, but also because of its appearance, much cheaper, of course, specifically for half the price of the Xiaomi. Obviously, it wasn’t possible to give the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 hardware out of that much money, but they still built a combo iron into the phone.

Oukitel MIX 2 2

The central unit is an eight-core MediaTek Helio P25 that runs at 2,3 GHz. The phone has at least 6 GB of memory, while the mass storage is 64 GB. The screen size of the phone is exactly the same as the display of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, it is also 5,99 inches, they have the same resolution, 1080 x 2160 pixels. The Helio P25 is a modern unit, so it provides enough performance in virtually every area. n standard WiFit, Bluetooth 4.2. This phone also received three cameras, and on the front there is an 8- and on the back there is a pair of 16 + 0,3 megapixel cameras.

UMIDIGI Z1 Pro

UMIDIGI's phone is, at least for me, a very interesting structure. It's not particularly good at anything, the design is also "old", however, the performance of the built-in components seems so uniform, the traditional, one might say classic design is so convincing that I couldn't pass it by, I had to put it on this list.

UMIDIGI Z1 Pro 1

I’m not claiming that the UMIDIGI Z1 Pro is the best deal on the list, Not the most powerful, but one thing unbeatable on display. This phone does not have a display based on the usual IPS technology, but a 5,5-inch, FHD resolution AMOLED panel, which is still higher quality. The phone should not be ashamed of other capabilities either. The central unit is a MediaTek Helio P20 that can handle eight cores and a 2,3 GHz clock. We also have 6 GB of memory and 64 GB of storage in this device, which we think is quite enough for everything, 6 GB of memory could be essentially too many categories. True, the more memory there is, the better, at least we know that in two years we won’t feel short either.

UMIDIGI Z1 Pro 2

From the camera, as we have become accustomed to in this category, we find three pieces on the mobile. The front panel is 5 and the back panel pair is 13 + 5 megapixels. We also have everything from sensors, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a gravity sensor, a compass and a fingerprint sensor.

Anyone who likes beautifully crafted, traditional-shaped mobiles will need this phone. You can find the mobile for 60 thousand forints here: UMIDIGI Z1 Pro

Lenovo S5

Even before we dive into the phone's recommendation, I have to apologize, because this mobile is a little above the 60 thousand forint limit at the moment. Not much, just as much as we can slip below the limit with a coupon in the future, so I decided to pick it up as a new actor anyway.

Lenovo S5 1

There were two more reasons to choose the Lenovo S5. One is that you can see that you can get a handset from a well-known manufacturer at a friendly price, the other is that the handset is very similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, we can say that it is the equivalent of what Lenovo has to offer. Although externally, the two phones are very similar in terms of cameras, the central unit is weaker in Lenovo’s phone despite the higher price. It is not weak, as the Snapdragon 625, which is also used many times by Xiaomi, works with eight cores at 2 GHz. The phone has 3 GB of memory and 32 GB of storage.

Lenovo S5 2

So these things are worse than the Xiaomi, but better for the cameras, at least based on the dry data. There is a very high resolution 16 megapixel solution on the front panel, while both members of the camera pair on the back panel are 13 megapixels. The display in the two phones is pretty much the same, although Lenovo has a slightly smaller 5,7-inch screen. However, the resolution here is also FHD +, ie 1080 x 2160 pixels. The mobile battery has a capacity of 3000 mAh.

If you choose a better-known manufacturer in Hungary and more powerful cameras, you can order the phone here: Lenovo S5

These five phones were the ones that fit into our offer this month. We are curious about what offers you would have, so we would be happy if you could share your favorites with us in the comments. We would also be interested in which of the phones listed you would choose!

This month, all we have left is a selection of top Chinese phones, and in a week we’ll be back with that too!

Remember, if you ordered from a Chinese (i.e. not GW) warehouse, choose the Priority Line - EU Express shipping method so that you do not have to incur additional costs, customs and VAT!
