More than ten thousand home-printed rail tickets

Less than two months have passed between the introduction of home ticket printing and the purchase of the XNUMXth home printing. In practice, this means that in the last eight weeks, tens of thousands of shoppers have not used either cash registers or station ticket machines to buy tickets, avoiding waiting and at the same time reducing the queuing time of other passengers. The statistics for the first period clearly show that the number of travelers buying online but not printing at station ticket machines is increasing week by week. In addition to convenience, the fact that tickets can be redeemed in advance, up to sixty days before the trip, contributes to the growing popularity of online ticket sales.

MÁV-START Zrt. Launched its latest convenience service - with the help of which domestic tickets, spare, seat and bicycle tickets purchased on the Internet can be printed anywhere, even at home - in mid-November 2011. In addition, of course, sixty ticket machines at forty stations in the country can still be used with the code received when paying online.

The possibility of exchanging tickets online (e-ticket) has been available at the passenger railway company since 2008, and since then passengers have bought more than two million tickets in the system with purchases of more than one million. The number of users is also constantly growing, currently there are more than two hundred thousand registered users.
