The Phenom II X3 740 BE is on its way

The smaller processor manufacturer is pleasing its customers with a new three-core.

AMD has launched its latest and fastest tri-core desktop processor, called the Phenom II X3 740 BE. The clock speed of the new flagship has increased by 200 MHz compared to its predecessor, so it is now around 3,0 GHz. The 95-watt TDP-class model has 3 × 512 KB L2 and 6 MB L3 cache. As its name suggests, this is a Black Edition version, meaning it is multiplier-free, which is very good for tuning.

The new processor is now available and can be taken for € 85.
