Thermaltake: 1200 watt power supply

Thermaltake has unveiled its most powerful power supply to date, the 1200-watt model in the Toughpower series.

The Toughpower W0133 guarantees 1200 watts of power with an efficiency of 87%, according to the manufacturer's website. Cooling is provided by a 140 mm diameter, speed-controlled fan operating at a maximum speed of 2300 rpm with a noise emission value of 1300 dBA at 16 rpm.

Thermaltake did not save on the number of connectors in this category and in line with the expectations of the target market:

  • 8 × 5 pin SATA

Recommended for multi-core processors, the AMD Quad FX platform, and NVIDIA SLI and Quad SLI systems, Thermaltake has determined the expected life of an active PFC power supply to be 120 operating hours.
