Let's test democratic music!

Let's test democratic music!

Let's test democratic music! From 2011 July 11, the Hungarian public can try the Mixgar system free of charge.

In May this year, only the TechShow it was possible to get acquainted with the prototype of the software, but it is now available to everyone. The end of the isolated, “earing” at work can reveal to which number the workplace machine starts. You don't have to leave the house parties and nightclubs disappointed either, as the "party" develops according to the tastes of the guests present. Since May, the project has also successfully presented itself at the Former Festival, HitechPub and other events (GS1 Mobile Conference, Jutyubdisko, Mobile Picnic, etc.). From today on http://mixgar.com-on The demo version is available to all Hungarian music lovers, whether you have a smartphone or sit in front of a PC.

It is extremely simple to use: after registration, the software collects the favorites you listened to a lot on Facebook and Last.fm and then generates a list. It summarizes the favorites of the logged-in users for the given place (café, office, Balaton holiday home, etc.) and the “democratic” TOP list is ready. An indispensable tool of democracy, voting refines the ranking of favorites. The demo version allows anyone to create their own community music listening space for free.

The international demo version will be on the market in a week. Until then, the Hungarian testing will start with the involvement of the Hungarian audience. The experience and feedback here all help international success, so the developers encourage everyone not to listen to their opinions.

The app is currently free, free to test, but the service, which will become paid later, raises a number of legal issues. The copyright agreement has already been signed by the developers with ARTISJUS, and a publishing rights contract is also being signed with MAHASZ. After signing, approx. The service will be legally available in 30 countries, covering a significant portion of Europe, North America, Australia and Asia. The service is thanks to a Hungarian software development team, Digital Natives, who are developing, among other things, the mindroom news search service supported by speech recognition. Mixgar’s idea came from solving an in-house problem: they wanted to listen to music together, but the cable only reached a colleague who loved electro-techno. The company matured the in-house idea into a widely usable product in its own startup incubation process.

Based on the business model, the service will be available from a few euros, for example, at a house party, but it can also serve the needs of an island-sized festival or a large restaurant chain. The developers of Mixgar will provide the service to end users free of charge, the costs will be covered by occasional and monthly fees paid by the owners of the sites, as well as sponsorship revenues.
