Tegra 2-based smartphones are coming from LG

The company will equip its latest devices with a dual-core 1 GHz processor.

LG has announced its latest smartphone series, with members building on NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 platform. The devices will feature 1-core processors ticking at 2 GHz, so fast speeds are guaranteed.

According to preliminary information, in addition to high performance, the innovations will also save energy, as much as possible with such hardware. The promises are that the devices will be able to play even 1080p (FULL HD) movies, although it is questionable how much we will use this on a phone - possibly connected to an LCD TV. It is not yet known what operating system will be available for mobiles, but if all is true, it will be revealed at the end of the year at the latest, as the company promises news for the last quarter.
