Sensational fuel cell from Toshiba

We seem to have reached a significant moment in the history of power supplies again.

Toshiba introduced fuel cell solutions as early as last fall, and even then it was about chargers that do not require a grid connection. Plans at the time have now been finalized, and a Toshiba fuel cell charger could hit store shelves as early as October.

The Dynario fuel cell charger uses a technology called direct-methanol fuel-cell (DMFC), which works by reacting methanol, water and air. During its operation, some carbon dioxide and water vapor are generated, which makes it much more environmentally friendly than the batteries currently in use.

The device is expected to cost $ 330 in height, while the 5-piece, 50-milliliter fuel tanks will cost around $ 34. The charger's 14 ml tank can be filled in about 20 seconds, after which charging of the connected device can begin. The fuel level of the device in the transparent tank can be determined visually.

Toshiba is producing just 3000 units of the device for its first run to assess market demand and reception. At the same time, we can safely say that the Toshiba Dynario could be the beginning of a real breakthrough, as developments a year ago showed that the world of fuel cells could soon enter, where we can use these new energy sources in our portable devices instead of the current batteries. The Toshiba charger shows that these fuel cells are now in marketable condition. We look forward to what the coming months will bring!
