F-Secure offers protection for Symbian platforms

F-Secure Mobile Security 5 is now available on Symbian S60 5th Edition operating systems.

With the rapid spread of smartphones, it is becoming increasingly likely that in the near future, in addition to personal computers, dozens of pests will appear on these devices as well. F-Secure reflects on this realistic threat: a package called Mobile Security 5 offers comprehensive protection for our devices running the latest Symbian system. The biggest advantage of the software is that it draws a complete line of protection around our mobile phone, as it includes a firewall in addition to real-time virus protection, as well as a module that detects spyware. Foam on the cake is the anti-theft mechanism that allows us to remotely control our former mobile after a possible theft: for example, in addition to a complete lock, we can also decide to delete our personal data.

The software is scheduled to be available from both the developers' online store and Nokia Download! also through its system.
