Symantec: Soccer European Cup Scam
The Symantec Security Response team has identified a 419 fraud related to the UEFA EURO 2012 Cup Series.
Attached to the fraudulent message was a PDF file called UEFA.pdf in which the “winner” was notified that he had won the UEFA EURO 2012 Cup gift draw. The notification letter further explains at length how they managed to get the winner’s email address and how the selection process made him the winner out of thousands of players.
