Zboard keyboard

The joke had already been shot on the box

Let’s turn back to the products, and while the first keyboard has little to do with WOW, that will change later. We took an unusual keyboard out of the box, and it was weird because there was a different layout on the packaging. So how is it now? This box is too big for a keyboard, so we found something else in it that is already similar to the one in the picture, but still not a full-fledged keyboard. But let's not run ahead…

Red butterfly with gray berries

By definition, the Zboard was also made by the manufacturer for gamers, this can be seen in the left third of the allocation. The red butterfly-like arrows are practically the Q, W, E and A, S, D buttons, which are meant to control the controls in most games. Round, gray buttons are arranged around it, with numbers and the names of the applications of the additional letters used in the games. Such is “Reload” (R) or “Use” (F). We also have two black ones, “Run/Walk” (left shift) and “Crouch” (C), and we have a small space, “Jump”. The layout only becomes understandable during use, the fingers of our left hand (since the mouse is in our right hand) can easily reach all commonly used buttons, even for "Pause" we don't have to move our wrists.

The second third already looks familiar, this is where the traditional part of the keyboard begins. We got the QWE and ASD buttons again, don't miss them when typing, Windows button and another space at the bottom. Smaller, gray numbers continue, then “Insert”, “Home” and “End”. The function keys starting at the top of the first third continue from “F6”.

USB sockets and snaps

The third third shows the remaining letter characters, the cursor keys, "Alt", "Control", "Del", and other grays, such as "Page Up" and "Page Down". They left room for the Zboard logo. We are used to the fact that there is no break between the keys, but since the round keys "create" some extra space, the "unutilized" areas were forced-unnecessarily covered with a grayscale sticker.

To the right is the Standard layout

The multimedia keys are also different from the traditional ones, but not to their disadvantage. There are rows of transparent buttons: volume control, mute, scroll, start and pause, then stop and open media player. Further on, we see several other buttons typical of multimedia keyboards, such as opening the manager, calculator, mail and browser software, while the last one starts the Zboard software. There are two USB ports on the back, so you can even connect the mouse here, but the connection interface "at hand" can come in handy at any time.

Now comes the interesting part. The "something" with a traditional layout found in the package cannot be used by itself, but if we had looked at the pictures on the box (who looks at that?), it would have become clear that the Zboard is a keyboard with an exchangeable layout. How?

Gamer Flatworm Packaging and Standard Flatworm Preparation

The simple procedure can be clearly seen in the "factory" picture. By opening the snap on the right side, which serves the purpose of fixing, the layout can be highlighted, and we get an answer to the question of why the product got the name "Zboard", since the inverted "Z"-shaped shape is formed during the process of laying the mentioned thirds on top of each other. Of course, this is only a legitimate assumption, but this is probably the real reason.

The "gaming" keyboard is built-in as standard, so to use the traditional layout you have to take out the accessory, then learn how to switch, after a few changes you get the routine, and just as they started dotting competitions in the heyday of SMS, a Zboard is not inconceivable -not measuring the time of the change of allocation either. Popping it out may seem difficult at first, but you can quickly get a feel for its "taste". Speed is not a requirement here, since after the robotic work with the traditional keyboard is finished, the game will load enough time for the replacement. And Ideazon said that exchange is good.
