Red Bull Flying Day is coming soon
For the third time this year, Red Bull Flying awaits self-nominated pilots, determined inventors, the craziest tinkers. The final teams selected by the audience and the jury have already received permission to take off to test their dexterity and creativity on June 10 at the Kopaszi Dam in Budapest.
On the Red Bull Flying Day, Red Bull MOBILE will also launch its own team, in which creativity will be combined with engineering expertise, as the mobile brand will be represented in the competition this year by five entrepreneurial students of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Determined college students are preparing to conquer the air with a replica of a Formula 1 race car. The machine is made of lightweight wooden boards according to their own designs. Due to the weight and aerodynamics of the fly, designers expect to take long meters. What makes Red Bull MOBILE apart from real racing cars is that the wings have been designed by young professionals to achieve the current goal. From the 6-meter-high pier, the initial acceleration - as a symbol of the Android system that is the soul of the smartphones offered by RBM - will be aided by life-size Android puppets, who are also preparing a final surprise for viewers.
The 2012 Red Bull Röpnap event starts on Sunday, June 10 at 12:2002 p.m. in the XI. on the Kopaszi dam in the district. After 2005 and 1991, this year for the third time we can see the soaring talents, who will be able to win the recognition of the jury and the audience with their creativity or with their flying structures dreamed up with careful professional expertise. As an indication of the event's popularity, since the first competition organized in Vienna in 115, more than 2012 similar creative "design and splashing" competitions have taken place worldwide, from Hong Kong to San Francisco to Sao Paulo. A total of 92 valid entries for the 40 domestic competition were submitted by the deadline, of which 5 teams were selected by the jury, which included Péter Besenyei among others, in mid-April. Of these, the 30 teams that collected the most audience votes on the event's website automatically made it to the June finals, and the remaining 2 places were decided by the jury, so on May 35nd, the contestants had to build 63,09 hopeful flying structures! In terms of flight distance, the competitors will not have an easy task, as last weekend in Mainz they broke the distance record of 69 meters set two years ago in America: the current record is XNUMX meters! At the venue of the event, Red Bull MOBILE will also set up a separate tent, where visitors can learn about the mobile tariffs and exclusive services marked by the name of the popular energy drink. Thanks to Red Bull MOBILE, not only the teams but also the fans can win on Röpnap! In the Red Bull MOBILE on-site game, participants can vote via SMS for the flying machine they think is the most imaginative. The prize for the lucky voter and each member of the winning team is a dust- and water-resistant Sony Ericsson Xperia active Android smartphone with a Red Bull MOBILE Access subscription with a recharge card.
In the world of Red Bull MOBILE, this summer holds special experiences not only for aviation but also for Formula 1 lovers. All new account subscribers joining the mobile tariff between 17 April and 2 July and prepaid customers who have topped up their card by at least HUF 10 by 000 July can receive a Formula 2 ticket for the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix.
