Samsung GALAXY S 4 - official announcement

As it was known, Samsung's new high-end device was introduced. Now we have also received the official press release, we will announce this.

Budapest, March 2013, 15 - Samsung has introduced the GALAXY S 4, which has been designed with really important aspects in mind for the users.

The designers of the Samsung GALAXY S 4 wanted to create a smartphone that is strongest in the areas that its owners value the most: knowing the importance of human relationships, making it easier to connect with friends and family, making everyday life simpler and carefree, and new contributes to experiences.

The GALAXY S 4 is even slimmer and more graceful than its predecessors - weighing 130 g and weighing just 7,9 mm - it still holds much more power than them. At launch, it will be available in two colors, veil black and hoarfrost white, but further color variations are expected during the year.

The GALAXY S 4 has the ability to capture every defining moment in the lives of its owners. The world's first Full HD Super AMOLED 5-inch, 441 ppi pixel display offers the best possible picture quality. The Samsung GALAXY S 4 will be a rugged travel companion for users thanks to Corning’s new Gorilla® Glass 3 * display.

Equipped with a 13 megapixel rear camera, the GALAXY S 4's "Dual Camera" capability allows the front and back cameras to take photos or videos at the same time, and the captured images can be easily stitched together in 8 different ways, so the end result includes subject and surroundings. “Dual Video Call” is also based on using both cameras at the same time: during a video call, the phone owner can show himself or herself to the other party. Equally special is the “Drama Shot” function, which makes it easy to take beautiful time-lapse videos of a moving subject, or the “Sound & Shot”, which preserves the ambient music and sounds you hear when taking a picture, perfectly recalling the conditions under which you took the photo.

These significant moments can now be organized into albums thanks to the “Story Album” feature, which can automatically collect all photos and venue data related to an event. Thanks to the collaboration with Blurb, these albums can be enjoyed not only online but also in print.

Real relationships

The Samsung GALAXY S 4 values ​​human relationships more than ever. “Group Play” allows users to connect directly to phones near them without the need for a Wi-Fi hotspot to share or create content or play with each other. And “Share Music” allows you to play the same song on multiple phones at once.

The GALAXY S 4 supports the fastest mobile Internet standards worldwide, namely HSPA + 42 Mbps and 4G LTE networks.

Easier everyday

Users are looking for smart solutions to simplify their everyday lives. The GALAXY S 4's face, sound and motion detection features also serve this purpose.

“Samsung Smart Pause” allows you to control the display with a view. This means that the video you are currently watching stops when the user takes their eyes off and then resumes when they pay attention again. With “Samsung Smart Scroll”, you can scroll through the browser or the letter you are reading without touching the screen, simply by moving your eyes and wrists.

With “Air View,” you can view an email, image, or video without having to open it — all you have to do is hold your finger over that content. And “Air Gesture” lets you change songs, scroll through a webpage, or answer a call with just one wrist gesture.

“S VoiceTM Drive” is a voice-based control system developed for driving: when connected to the car via Bluetooth, the phone automatically switches to driving mode. In this case, it converts texts into speech, so you can listen to messages easily and securely without using the display.

The “Optical Reader” can automatically recognize text, contacts or a QR code and perform translation, dialing or searching as desired by the user.

With the “Samsung WatchON”, the GALAXY S 4 can be transformed into a remote control that can also operate a TV, set-top box, DVD player or air conditioner.

The application of the GALAXY S 4 “S Health” also monitors the health status of users with the help of various built-in sensors. This is complemented by a food diary, workout diary and sleep diary so your phone really makes sure your owner stays as fit as possible.
