The new iTunes service is extremely successful

The new service from Apple’s online store is hugely popular, and most importantly for the California company, it generated very nice revenue in the space of a week.

Since September 12th, not only music, but also Disney movies can be downloaded from iTunes, which seems to be a very profitable "experiment" on the part of Apple, as it brought no less than one million dollars in revenue to the company's kitchen in one week.

The online store currently offers 75 Walt Disney movies, including such popular works as "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" and "The Incredibles", to name only the most well-known. Of course, it's no coincidence that Disney is the first to offer its films through iTunes, after all, Apple's CEO, Steve Jobs, is one of the largest individual shareholders of the film studio. It is also worth mentioning that Pixar, Touchstone and Miramax also belong to Disney, so the cinemas distributed by them can also be downloaded and their number will continue to increase.

The new iTunes service is extremely successful

"Older" movies will be available for $9,99, while theatrical releases will cost $14,99. According to Walt Disney's hopes, by the end of 2006, the new service of iTunes will result in an income of about 50 million dollars.
