Price cuts are expected at Intel

We can expect a reduction between 13 and 50 percent.

According to DigiTimes, the chip giant will cut prices on the Pentium D 900 series. The processors in this case are dual-core one by one and are already made with the new 65-nanometer manufacturing technology. In the first round, we can look forward to the change on April 23, but it is already planned for the third quarter that it will give these CPUs even cheaper.

As can be seen from the table, another member can count on the 900 series, the 3,6 GHz 960. If we can believe the news, it will be announced on April 30th.

The decision may be based on Intel's desire to accelerate the deployment of dual-core CPUs. The company wants these versions to account for 23 percent of desktop processor sales by the middle of the year. And by the end of the year, Intel’s heart has beaten nearly half of its high-end machines, and exactly 43 percent, want to see these processing units.
