Prestigious recognition for Gravity R&D and Jófogás.hu
The first half of 2012 resulted in another award for Gravity R&D, which develops recommendation systems. This time, the domestic supplier of relevance-based online services was recognized with the award received jointly by Schibsted Hungary, which operates Jófogás.hu. The two category winners of the ICMA Classified Media Innovation Award have been working together since 2011 to optimize the classifieds website.
The task facing the winning pair was to increase the efficiency of the Jófogás.hu website and to increase the customer experience, for which, above all, the product recommendations appearing on the website had to be adjusted to the current interests of individual visitors. As part of the solution, Gravity R&D has added a system for tracking and “learning” the interest of visitors to the classifieds website, displaying personalized product recommendations for each visitor.

Gravity's solution is a pioneer and unique in the online classifieds market, and it is a special pleasure that it has brought such a nice increase in profits to the customer, ”said Domonkos Tikk, CEO of Gravity R&D.
Zoltán Peresztegi, the managing director of Jófogás.hu, said that due to the development of the site, it achieved a market-leading position in terms of page downloads in the first quarter of 2012. “According to Google AdPlanner, an average of 1,8 million people visit the site each month, and the average time spent there is 16 minutes 40 seconds higher than the time spent on any page with a similar profile,” Peresztegi added.
The introduction of the recommendation engine resulted in an increase in traffic of more than 10% on Jófogás.hu and an increase of about 33% in the number of contacts. Case study with details of the winning project On this link available.
