Thermaltake comes up with "smart" power supplies (Corrected)

Thermaltake has always been at the forefront of the industry thanks to its expertise in power supply and cooling solutions in the PC market. This was part of a directive that wanted to build Thermaltake Technology into a cultural brand in several areas. As part of this principle, it has become an important goal to provide the right user experience for everyone. In November this year, in light of these thoughts, a new family of power supplies called the SMART Series will also be launched. Combining various high-tech components, these energy sources strive to meet environmentally friendly expectations without leaving anything to be desired on the user side. Some pieces in the product family are available in modular and non-modular versions from 430W to 730W.

Modular SMART Series - 430W | 550W | 650W

The modular family of the SMART series offers us power supplies with 3 different power values. All three are equipped with a robust, single-wire 12V bus and, of course, the required high-quality protection circuit, high-quality Japanese-made capacitors and, last but not least, active PFC protection to ensure continuous operation with high performance and reliability. . If all that weren’t enough, units equipped with a 140mm specifically quiet fan (intelligent speed controller) have been fitted with low-profile flat modular cables to further improve air circulation. Even after developing these, the SMART family also received the 80 PLus bronze rating.

Non-Modular SMART Series - 430W | 530W | 630W | 730W

The non-modular power supply has a plus circuit, thanks to which it has been awarded the 80 Plus rating, a universal AC input unit 100V~240V that automatically searches and finds the correct voltage. A 120 millimeter fan with an intelligent speed controller rotates in it. These 4 power supplies also received the components already mentioned above (12V rail, protection circuit, Japanese capacitors). So, all in all, non-modular power supplies have more or less the same quality components as their modular sibling. The new SMART series power supplies want to attract customers not only with their built-in "smart" components, but also with the fact that they support all nVIDIA and AMD graphics cards currently on the market. But in addition to all this, its greatest strength is that it provides a stable and reliable energy supply and we don't have to reach too far into our wallets for this.
