On the market is the dual-band ASUS RP-N53 Wi-Fi range extender

ASUS has announced its dual-band RP-N53 Wi-Fi range extender, which uses powerful internal antennas to increase the range of your wireless network.asus rpn53_wifi_extender The RP-N53 max. It provides 300 Mbit / s wireless transmission in the 2,4 GHz range and an additional 300 Mbit / s in the 5 GHz range. Because the two frequency bands can be used simultaneously, the total bandwidth can reach 600 Mbit / s. 2,4 GHz is great for web browsing or social networking, for example, and the clearer 5 GHz range is for HD playback or online gaming. The RP-N53's MIMO (Multiple-input / multiple-output) antennas guarantee stable operation in both frequency ranges. You can also quickly switch between operating domains using a web browser.

To pair the RP-N53 with the routers, all you have to do is press the button labeled WPS and you're done. WPS (wireless protected setup) is perfectly compatible with routers from ASUS and many other manufacturers, and works great with a wide variety of client devices (computers, smartphones, tablets, game consoles, smart TVs).

With the RP-N53, you can comfortably listen to music anywhere in the apartment thanks to its 3,5 mm audio jack. You can also connect speakers to it, or transfer music wirelessly from a variety of source devices, such as a USB storage device connected to the router, as part of your home theater or hi-fi system. The audio files on the storage arrive on the RP-N53, which connects to the audio hardware to play them.

The front panel of the RP-N53 has LED signal strength indicator lights, separately for the 2,4 and 5 GHz ranges. Customers can measure signal strength at any point and position the RP-N53 for the best possible performance. Incidentally, the LED lights look good and can be turned on and off as needed with the RP-N53's touch switch.

The ASUS RP-N53 will be available in Hungary from the end of May, with an expected price of HUF 20. [ASUS]
