Philips BDM4037UW - The giant that doesn't just care about size

As you can read in the introduction, the diagonal is 40 inches. This means that if the coffee were thick, it certainly wouldn’t look like it compared to the panel. In addition, the Philips BDM4037UW has a thin film that almost disappears when framing a huge image. The cover is silver everywhere. After unpacking, the first thing that struck was how thin the display was. The electronics are located in the lower tract of the back panel, so at the top there is only the cover behind the panel, which makes the whole stuff look airy and light.

Not only I but my couple liked the monitor. Well, he didn’t come up with how beautiful the picture was, but by finally implementing a monitor base that is thin and doesn’t collect dust. In vain, well, there are other aspects than what I notice.

The stand is also connected to the base. For most monitors, we can list here that the display can be rotated x degrees, tilted í degrees, and raised in z centimeters. Moreover, in some cases the PIVOT mode, i.e. the set display, is also available. In the case of the Philips BDM4037UW, because of their size, they lose their meaning, as why would we want to raise it on a 40-inch display when we have to look up by default if we want to look at the top of the screen. Shooting could still be considered, but I really didn’t really need it either. What we can do is adjust the tilt angle. This is not too abundant either, as we can only tilt 5 degrees forward and 10 degrees backwards. Not that it wasn't enough, it didn't really seem like it was enough.

The connectors and controls are located on the back of the cover. In the case of connectors, no one gets their heads up because of this, more people because of the controls. Especially when I mention that in the case of the controls in this case, the use of the plural is also a mistake, since we find only a small joystick at the back. Let's say I first touched the device properly the first time I turned it on, until I found out that I could turn it on.

This tiny arm can be used to turn the display on and off - press - or to adventure in the menu - drag it up and down, right and left.

We’ll find a surprising amount of connectors, which of course has a reason, but we’ll get back to that in the demonstration of usage. So the image can be input via a conventional D-Sub connector or one of the two HDMI or two Display Ports. There is an audio input and headphone output, as well as five USB 3.0 ports, one of which is an input and the other four are outputs. In addition, one of the four USB ports also supports the fast charging function.
