The Toshiba notebook is available on computer store shelves in two versions - R500-11J and R500-11I: the difference is the data storage options and the resulting weight difference. The former features a 64GB Solid State Disk without an optical drive, while the latter features a Super Multi DVD burner and a traditional 120GB hard drive. Nevertheless, the weight of both notebooks remains below 1 kg, the R500-11J weighs only 0,77, while the R500-11I weighs 0,99 kilograms.
Apart from this, both notebooks are based on the same technical foundations: 1,2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 processor, Intel 945GMS Express chipset, Intel GMA 950 graphics processor, 12,1-inch 1280 × 800 pixel display, 2 GB DDR2 system memory, gigabit Ethernet, 802.11a / g / n wireless device and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR.
The R500-11J is available for $ 3000 and the R500-11I for $ 3658.
