Google can open a music store after online TV
The company plans to open an online music store.
Google seems to want to be a worthy opponent of Apple in every area. According to the latest news reports, the search giant has now targeted iTunes and will try to remove him from the throne - of course, it will take some time.
Andy Rubin, the father of Android OS, leads the talks with the biggest music publishers, and they’re supposed to only get to the vineyard in such tiny moments as e.g. the method of payment. The search giant hopes to make its new service debut around Christmas, which will be available not only on the web interface, but also on devices running the green robot.
If all this is done successfully by Rubin and his team, what no one has been able to do so far can happen, that is, Apple’s monopoly power on this line could be broken. Steve Jobs currently dominates the digital music market by no less than 80%.
Contrary to previous similar attempts, Google can also be helped by constantly getting an accurate picture of what users are most interested in through YouTube, allowing it to continually shape its online music store.
