Italy is blocking the torrent

In the bay of pirates no longer ring Italian ships, maximum boats with foreign insignia.

An Italian Supreme Court ruling states that certain foreign sites are allowed to be blocked if they facilitate the illegal distribution of copyrighted content. Needless to say, Pirate Bay is the red post in the eyes of all legislators about copyrighted content, so it’s clear that this site will be blocked first, at least in theory.

It is expected that the case will not be so simple, so opponents of the verdict will raise the case in higher forums, even at EU level, if necessary. If this happens, service providers are likely to delay the introduction of blocking until a final verdict. We are looking forward to developments, as an EU decision may affect us in the future.
