OCZ: power supply flood

The manufacturer is launching two new product families simultaneously in the power supply market.

The OCZ after the days saidIn order to permanently stop the production of memory modules, it has unveiled two new power supply series, proving that it wants to remain an active player in the power supply market. One series is for maximum performance, while the other is a more solid family, already in terms of performance. The former is represented by the so-called “ZX” series. Here are an 850, a 1000 and a 1250 watt model. They are characterized by 80 Plus Gold, i.e. the gold rating, the unopened 12-volt branch and the fact that a 14 cm fan is responsible for cooling. The smallest, i.e., the 850-watt member, can deliver 123 Amps on the single 70-volt branch, the middle member can deliver 100 Amperes, while the strongest version can deliver 120 Amps. Interestingly, modular cabling has been designed without the use of any fixed cables in the products, so in some cases even more space can be saved in the computer case.

The other fresh product line is called ZS and targets customers with thinner wallets. A product with 500, one 600 and one 700 Watt power will be present here. they were no longer given gold but only bronze in terms of efficiency, and the diameter of the air agitator became 14 cm instead of 12 cm. Modular cabling also applies here.

The ZX series in the High-End category has a 5-year warranty, while the ZS product family has only three years left. The novelties will hit store shelves in the coming weeks, but the price is still in the dark.
