NVIDIA: We expected more from the Radeon HD 7900 series

At the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show, NVIDIA explained that they expected more from AMD’s new architecture, dubbed GCN (Graphics Core Next). The information and presentations supporting the optimistic statements were no longer presented.

NVIDIA: We expected more from the Radeon HD 7900 series

Asked by nordichardware, a company spokesman said they were positively surprised by the AMD Radeon HD 7900 series. The company’s preliminary performance estimate predestined the capabilities of the GNC architecture to a higher level. Unfortunately, there has been significantly less talk about the appearance of GeForces based on Kepler architecture, which we still only know can come in the first half of 2012.

It should not be overlooked that performance is just a factor in judging graphics cards. AMD's room for maneuver will not be significantly reduced even if the HD 7970 lags behind the green cannon. In this case, the problem can be remedied relatively easily with some price reduction.

Would it be safe?

Based on the leaked information, graphics processors based on the Kepler architecture will no longer have a "Hot clock", which indicates truly radical developments. We look forward to the developments.
