NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GTX

The manufacturer's fastest mobile GPU is now available.

We already knew the big news yesterday, as Dell announced its latest XPS 1710 gaming notebook for gamers, featuring NVIDIA’s latest mobile savior, but the official announcement from the manufacturer was only released today.

NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GTX

With the new GeForce Go 7900 GTX, NVIDIA has taken another step to achieve XHD (eXtreme High Definition) Gaming, that is, to achieve even greater detail. “The XHD image resolutions — 1680×1050 and 1920×1200 — show 65% more detail than the traditional 1024×768 laptop resolution. These powerful GPUs allow us to enjoy our latest games with HD resolutions and effects," said Jeff Fisher, one of NVIDIA's vice presidents.

The architecture of the GeForce Go 7900 GTX is the same as its desktop sibling, except for 500/600 MHz and 650/800 MHz (core / memory clock). Even with a reduced clock speed, it carves excellent gaming machines and video players from mobile PCs. So far, Dell and Toshiba have announced the use of the new GPU, but it is likely that other manufacturers will slowly join the lineup.
