If you can believe the official, pre-printed invitations…
According to information popped up, NVIDIA has already mailed the November invitations to a couple of partners for the official launch of the G92 GPU. Of course, even now, as is almost always the case in the VGA market, it is a parade of high-end individuals, which will be followed later - expected next year - by tiles that are sufficiently downsized for the lower and middle class.
Let’s not expect revolutionary changes from the new core, most notably the upgrading of the G80 - meaning NVIDIA’s only goal is to further strengthen its position vis-à-vis AMD. Unfortunately, it’s not about what will happen with DirectX 10.1 support, so we hope for the best. The two most important innovations of the G92 - already safe to say - will be the use of 65-nanometer manufacturing technology and support for PCIe 2.0.
