International and domestic research on gender leadership styles

International and domestic research on gender leadership stylesThe male leader is more motivated by money, while the women prefer predictability, says the Research Systems research, which was conducted in four countries in addition to Hungary.

This year, a separate survey examined the motivation system of women working for Microsoft Hungary, which showed that selflessness and belonging to a group are especially important for women working for the world's largest software company. Assessment Systems research was one of the main themes of the ‘Opening Windows - Women’s Careers’ event, held for the third time on 24 November, which once again brings together the color majority of the country’s female leaders.

The results of a survey of about two hundred women and men working as middle and senior managers in Hungary show that women are more willing to help others and society, are more concerned with morality and the team, and place more emphasis on CSR and environmental projects. But when exposed to excessive stress, female leaders are more likely to show signs of excessive systematicity that can reduce team performance. For men, profit and financial gain are more important motivating factors, they are more interested in investing and other financial opportunities. For them, money is a measure of success, and thus profitability is the main consideration in business. Under the influence of stress, however, they can become tyrannical rulers who sweep the opinions and suggestions of others off the table.

“Accurate knowledge of the motivational aspect is important because unconsciously we all develop a motivational structure towards others that we have, but it also fundamentally influences our attitude: for example, someone who loves teamwork is less able to identify with an employee who is self-employed. devotee. Even as a leader, we tend to believe that we are motivated by others as something that makes us, which is a fundamental mistake, ”points out Zsolt Fehér, Director of International Affairs at Assessment Systems.
