Won't there be a Radeon HD 9970?

Rumor has it that AMD is introducing a new naming scheme. We have been accustomed to running the current generation under the name “Radeon HD XXXX” since 2007, but since then the market has changed significantly. The change seems to be triggered by the advent of APUs. There, we can now see that AMD identifies products with a prefix (A4, A6, A8 and A10) that refer to different performance classes. So from that, something like this could come with the next generation graphics cards: AMD Radeon R9-1000. What do you say to that?
