Four new boards have been added to ASRock’s “killer” series
The goal is clear and unambiguous: ASRock wants to win the toughest player faces with the Killer series.
Seeing the imposing line-up, we have to say this plan may even succeed.
Fortunately, the new boards marked with the name Fatal1ty are present on several platforms: Z87 Killer, B85 Killer, 990FX Killer and FM2A88X + Killer. A common point is the E2200 network controller, which automatically recognizes game-related data and gives it priority over other network traffic - hence the no lag, just the frag slogan. If the automated procedure goes bankrupt for some reason, Qualcomm Atheros Killer Network Manager comes into play, where we can perform a personalized configuration.
There are no differences in the world of sound either, Purity Sound offers us the goodies shown in the image below on all four motherboards.
We are pleased to see that the pursuit of high quality has not been compromised on any of the products: digital PWM, gold-plated solid capacitors, serious power supply, Hi-Density power connectors. The former also guarantee that we will be in a state of slight shock when we see the price tag.
With the Fatal1ty 990FX Killer motherboard, you can't go without a word next to the NGFF socket, which will primarily contain an SSD drive. There is no official processor support list yet, but we can easily imagine the FX-9590 and FX-9370 solutions, which are famous for their brutal consumption.
