According to Panda Software, a Trojan called Mitglieder is causing more and more serious problems and has already reached more than 30 countries due to its rapid spread.

Panda Software's research shows that the Mitglieder Trojan is one of the fastest-growing malware today. The company says five variants of its Trojans are currently spreading, four of which (FK, FL, FM and FN) are among the most common viruses that cause infections.

According to Panda, the risk posed by the Trojan is significantly increased by the fact that it has already appeared along with the Bagle worm infecting via email, so its spread rate has further increased. The latest variants of Mitglieder perform the malicious operations already observed on their predecessors on selected computers. Accordingly, they open a back door for attackers and try to download various malicious codes from the Internet. They also deactivate security software and make security companies ’websites inaccessible from infected systems.

Because Trojans can be installed on computers in many ways and are not always easy to detect, the most effective protection solution in this case is to use and update antivirus software properly.
