ASUS has introduced a notebook sharpened for multimedia tasks
The F70 is sure to conquer with its easy portability.
All the more so with its sleek display, as the 17,3-inch widescreen panel has enough resolution to view 1080p detail in native form. In addition to this high resolution, smooth cinema requires a high-performance CPU in the form of ASUS Intel Core 2 Duo processors: the smaller of the two options (T5850) boasts a 2,16 GHz clock speed of 667 MHz. and 2S L2 cache per core, while the larger model (P8400) is already ticking at 2,26 GHz, equipped with 3MB secondary cache and 1066MHz FSB. In both cases, the main memory can be expanded up to 4 GB, of course via DDR2 modules. It is not yet known exactly what graphics subsystem will work in the device, but all that can be considered for sure is that it is one of NVIDIA's solutions. In terms of equipment, we are mostly faced with the usual parameters in the category (802.11n compatible Wi-Fi, memory card reader, DVD drive, 500 GB hard drive, 1,3 megapixel webcam, Bluetooth 2.1 radio, HDMI port), but the integrated Altec Lansing sound system, as well as the existence of Express Gate technology, which provides access to the basic functions of the machine after a few seconds of charging time, must be emphasized.
The purchase price of the F70 isn't cheap for its capabilities either: the starting price of about $ 1252 can't be said to be friendly, to put it mildly.
