Modding competition participation: Apply by email a [email protected] address. The entry must include:

  • a brief description of the moddolt machine (what modifications were made, what hardware components, etc.)
  • jpg format images of the machine (at least 2-3 external and internal images, at least 640 × 480 resolution).

   Application deadline: August 2006, 25

The machine: All entries must include PC components that, although not functional, demonstrate at least that a functional machine can be installed in that housing.

Arrival at the venue: All competitors and their planes must arrive at the venue no later than nine o'clock in the morning on the day of the competition, ie 2006.09.10! Whoever can, can also deliver their plane to the scene the day before.

Competitors: If you take part in the competition, you can leave your car outside for the entire duration of the exhibition, so that visitors arriving on additional days can also admire it.

Visitors: All visitors to InfoMarket can see the MTH2006 exhibition and competition, which will include presentations, live demonstrations and news from the manufacturers.
However, on Sunday, all visitors can vote for moddolt machines participating in the competition, based on their serial number.

   Competition categories:

Depending on the sponsors, there will be two categories in the competition to enter: 

  • A Case mod (house alteration, reconstruction) includes works made by remodeling factory houses. *
  • A Casecon (house building) works (houses) individually designed and built from the ground up are included here. *

    * If there are not enough applicants for the two categories or the sponsorship offers do not allow it, the organizers reserve the right to merge the two categories so a mixed competition will be held.

   The jury will evaluate both categories and vote for a professional award. Audience Awards will be awarded separately for the two categories (Casemod-Casecon).
   If the machines are grouped into one category, one professional and three audience awards will be awarded.
   Notwithstanding these awards, exhibitors and sponsors of MTH2006 may also award separate professional awards in their respective areas of responsibility.

   Participant / competitor

   The competition is open to anyone who has reached the age of 14. A competitor may enter with more than one machine, but only one may be awarded. Entrants to MTH2006, as always, are free to enter. The application deadline is August 2006.08.25, XNUMX.

   If you are a competitor and you come to the competition, bring with you:

  • your Casemod or Casecon enclosure with built-in computer components. 
  • Everything that belongs to Casemod or Casecon (eg: moddolt screen or other moddolt peripherals). Otherwise, please DO NOT HAVE monitor or peripherals! 
  • Accessories you may need to set up your PC (cables, keyboard, mouse, extension cord or splitter if necessary.) 
  • ID card  
  • Supply (food, drink, pocket money)

   We ask everyone to pay special attention to bringing your ID with you. Anyone who is unable to present a valid ID or passport at entry will be excluded from the competition. Please also, to save space, please unpack (or not bring to the competition) the screen if it is not modd, not part of the mod, or not shown to be made on it.

   Agenda:

   Sunday (September 2006.09.10, XNUMX):

  • Contestants arrive at the contest by 9 a.m. (or until the close of the previous day)
  • During the day, the jury will evaluate the works in the competition
  • At the same time, visitors and the media can talk to the maker of the exhibited machine on site, admire the masterpieces
  • Visitors continuously vote for the machines participating in the competition based on the serial number, based on these votes, the three audience prizes are decided.
  • There will be a big prize-giving at the booth from 16 to 17 p.m.

   Detailed rules:

   §1 MTH2006:

   (1) The modder competition of mod-tech Hall 2006 (MTH2006) will be divided into two independently evaluated groups: Group 1 includes the house moderators (Casemod) who have shaped and modified their series-produced shop houses individually. Group 2 includes house builders (Chasecon). This category includes machines that have been completely designed and built by the maker from the ground up, tailored to your needs or your PC.
   Important: If there is not a sufficient number of entries for the categories (minimum 10-10) or sponsorship offers do not allow it, a joint competition will be held instead of the two categories.

   §2 Conditions of participation:

   (1) mod-tech Hall 2006 is open to anyone who has reached the age of 14 and has modified a store house in accordance with Group 1 or built a house in accordance with Group 2.

   (2) Most of the modifications must be carried out by the competitor himself, otherwise the MTH2006 jury may exclude the competitor.

   (3) Each participant shall have [email protected] you must submit your application by e-mail. The entry must include:

   4. If the number of candidates reaches the capacity limit which the available venue can still accommodate, the jury will hold a pre-screening on the basis of the e-mail applications after 2006 August 25.
   In this case, all entrants will be notified in a timely manner whether or not their Casemod or Casecon work may enter a contest. Should such a pre-screening become necessary, it will be made public on this website.

   (5) All entrants must be present throughout the duration of the Casemod or Casecon competition. The machine builder is not required to be out on the MTH2006 throughout, but it is recommended to be present when evaluating the house in case the juries have questions about the workmanship or the operation of specially modified things.

   (6) If there are several applicants, in the pre-judging (§2.5) we give preference to those competitors who enter with only one machine, so that as many participants as possible can come to the events of MTH2006. If someone wants to enter in the two categories and pre-screening is required, one of the machines will be selected for the above reasons. If someone wants to nominate more machines per category and is unable or unwilling to decide, it is up to the entrant to decide which machine the candidate can compete with.

   (7) A competitor (with the same machine) who has achieved a place on another MTH in any category, be it a jury award or an audience award, may not take part in the competition. You are also not allowed to take part in the competition if you are a member of the MTH-Team or their relatives.

   (8) Only one competitor per Casemod or Casecon may be present. If several people have been actively involved in the creation of the mod, the other creator can participate as a representative in the presentation of the mod.

   §3 Evaluation and award ceremony:

   (1) The professional awards are decided by a jury consisting of the editors of the two main organizers, HardwareOC and radicalmod.

   (2) Each participant has the opportunity to present and demonstrate to the jury the modifications that are not clearly visible from the outside, which is necessary for a more complete presentation of the mod (competitor's efforts, work processes, difficulties, etc.).

   3. The jury shall deliberate during the evaluations.

   (4) Evaluation criteria for a Casemod or Casecon work

  • Optics: Appearance, the overall impression of the machine, which is included here
  • Electronics: All handmade electronic and other accessories are included, where originality, functionality and creativity are paramount. 
  • Dexterity: The jury will monitor the difficulty or level of difficulty of the entire mod for each Casemod or Casecon creation. The elaboration, quality and implementation of each moddolt unit that belongs here
  • Creativity: The idea or vision behind Casemod or Casecon. Originality, operation, innovation and inspiration ("Wow, that's nothing" effect)

   §4 Legal part:

   All participants acknowledge and agree that:

   (1) Images or videos of him and / or his Casemod or Casecon may be taken, all of which may be used as press material and made public (Internet, TV, etc.) made on MTH2006.

   (2) Legal challenge to the voted seats is excluded.

   (3) Entry to the competition is conditional on the competitors signing the entry conditions on the spot at the same time as the entry, before the competition.

   (4) The organizers of MTH2006 reserve the right to change the rules of the competition or exhibition at any time, which will be published immediately on the official website of the event. http://modtechhall.radikalmod.hu/
