They sell a Nintendo DS every five seconds

Subjugate the United States by the Japanese console company's handheld game machine.

We’ve known so far, we’ve seen in sales statistics that Nintendo handheld sales data far exceeds the performance of daytime gaming machines. According to the latest announcement, more than 6 million units were purchased by U.S. residents this year. However, in order not only for the public to chew on dry numbers, Nintendo also wanted to use a couple of similarities to indicate how respectable the DS did.

They sell a Nintendo DS every five seconds

So the figure above means they sell a Nintendo DS every five seconds, that is, it precedes events like the male brain meditating on a sexual act (every seven seconds) or "Which is the best console?" discussion in Internet forums (every six seconds). Nintendo, of course, wants to save this format for next year as well, hopefully they’ll be able to push the level time down to four seconds.
