Certified antivirus for Mac

Among the antivirus for Macintosh, ESET software was the first in the world to be certified by the independent ICSA Laboratory, proving that the NOD32 antivirus also works reliably on the OS X platform.

“In today’s heterogeneous computing environment running OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems together, the spread of malware across different platforms is a real threat,” said Andrew Hayter, head of research at ICSA Laboratory. The expert stressed that the certification issued by the institute will show users the products that provide security on both operating systems.

NOD32 has previously earned certifications for the Windows operating system, and the lab’s current test proves that the antivirus also provides real-time, reliable protection on the OS X platform without compromising computer performance. To qualify, ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition for Mac OS X had to prove in a rigorous series of tests that it could protect users from wildlife and other computer viruses without giving false alarms and quarantining all malware. During testing, the product also proven its ability to protect desktops, laptops, and enterprise servers. The home version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition for Mac OSX is ESET Cybersecurity, which contains the same search engine.
