How much is it - customs, VAT and handling costs for your Vernee Mars Pro phone

Since a lot of you have asked me how much to pay for a phone that costs around $ 180-200, I will tell you exactly now!

How much is it - customs, VAT and handling costs for your Vernee Mars Pro phone

Today my Vernee Mars Pro phone arrived, I paid the tribute to it, and in advance I can say that I am very happy with both the phone and the price. Let's start counting!

The invoice included with the phone includes $ 186 as the purchase price. Don’t be surprised that for products ordered from China, the amount paid will match the invoice as rarely as possible. We should usually be happy about this because our Chinese friends are writing a lower price, so we have to pay less customs and VAT. Of course, it is also not good if the amount of the invoice is too low, because then we are sure to ask us for proof of payment for customs clearance. I suggest you don’t want to scam the authority by submitting your invoice, PayPal or other proof of payment if asked if not. It significantly speeds up the administration, if not the company performing the customs clearance, in my case Magyar Posta requests it afterwards. I also suggest that if you send the receipts by e-mail, indicate the package number in the subject of the letter, they will find the package that matches the letter much faster if you do not need to open the letter for this!

So let's get back to counting! In my case, the bill was $ 186. The post office now calculated at an exchange rate of $ 265,57. I bought the phone for $ 190, multiplied by 265,57, which means that the price without customs and VAT was 50 forints. I paid for this as a customs duty (you and VAT - no customs duty) HUF 13346, and I paid a customs clearance fee of HUF 2500. This is a total of HUF 66.

It's a pretty expensive phone, you can think of it now, but only until it turns out that the competitor, Huawei P10 with almost the same capabilities at home ~ 130 thousand forints, Or until you see that with a much weaker processor, less system its predecessor, Verne Mars, equipped with memory, half as much storage and a worse camera, is 70 forints even in the cheapest place. So I think the Vernee Mars Pro is an expensive phone, but value for money one, if not the best right now.
