Surprising Samsung announcement: heavenly mobile storage

According to Samsung memory mages, the storage capacity of removable memory chips can be multiplied by the current one.

Engineers say that if the chips are made with a bandwidth of 60 nanometers, then the capacity could increase to 2 gigabits and the transfer rate to double the current one. The company’s One Hand unit, which is still in its infancy, is capable of transferring 17 MB per second. Samsung believes that by combining eight 2Gb units, write speeds can reach up to 136MB per second.
