Pentium Gold reappeared

The smallest member of the Coffee Lake series, the Celeron family, also showed up.

Amazon has briefly added the following processors to its offerings: Celeron G4900 and G4920, and Pentium Gold G5500 and G5600. Dual-core CPUs uniformly reinforce the 54-watt power class, which was infinitely easy to achieve with the former two, as the good old Celerons repeatedly cut to the challenge without Hyper-threading. There is only a 100 MHz clock difference between the two models (3,1 and 3,2 GHz), so based on our knowledge so far, the smaller model will clearly be the price / value champion: the news is about $ 46,27 and $ 58,14 .

In addition to multithreading (HT), the G5500 also offers higher speeds, with an operating frequency of 3,8 GHz. The Pentium Gold G5600 again boosts speeds by just 100 MHz, which equates to just a 2,6% surplus. The price envelopingly won’t reflect that, with the smaller Pentium seeing $ 82,06 and the larger one $ 94,92 seen by well-informed portals.
