A Xiaomi fan asked Xiaomi's co-founder Lin Bin on Weibon, and the answer was a laconic one.

Will Xiaomi MIX arrive on August 4? The answer is no!

The members of the Xiaomi MIX series have always received special attention, which is no wonder, as they present a surprisingly new form or solution. Just remember the first MIX, which created essentially a new genre among smartphones, or the sliding front panel of the MIX 3, which hid the front-panel cameras.

So the new MIX is sure not to arrive in August, nor do we know when to expect it. MIX 2 was launched on September 11th, while MIX 3 was October 25th, so we can expect MIX 4 between these two dates, if only because they will be able to sell a lot of it in the last months of the year, before Christmas. . We’d love to say that a lot of information has been leaked about the phone, but the fact is that there was a Xiaomi phone about to be released that we had as little information about as it did about MIX 4. Everyone is guessing what new technologies we will encounter. We know they’re working at Xiaomi on a self-timer camera hidden behind the front panel, and they’re also working on a zoom technology similar to Huawei’s solution. We would say we won’t encounter any of these in MIX 4, but let’s not be right. Chances are the phone’s headunit will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus expected in the fall, though we wouldn’t take poison for that either.

What do we expect? A full-screen, frameless mobile phone with three back-panel cameras (possibly a 56- or 64-megapixel main camera), a fingerprint sensor under the display, a persiccope sepsis camera, possibly 3D face recognition, and of course the indispensable ceramic back panel, possibly the full ceramic body on more expensive versions. So we can say that we are not expecting anything special, we are waiting for a very nice mobile phone with extras currently available without any special extras.
