The top model in the Athlon 64 X2 family has arrived

The AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ will go on sale on August 20th.

Compared to the previous top model, the 6000+, there has been little progress, only the processor clock has been raised from 3 to 3,2 GHz, so the 2nm CPU with 1 × 90MB second-level cache is kind of home-tuned considered a specimen.

Despite the premiere on August 20, the first models have already appeared on the shelves of Japanese computer stores, with processors named the Black Edition available for around $ 220-248.
