Motorola's Android phone has arrived

As expected, the official announcement was made.

Motorola gave its new device the name CLIQ. The phone has got a full QWERTY keyboard with hard keys. The built-in camera is 5 megapixels and the 3,1 inches display has a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The power supply is provided by a 1420 mAh battery, the manufacturer says the standby time is more than 325 hours, which is roughly 13 and a half days. Communication with the outside world is also ensured by a WIFI interface that knows Bluetooth and the gs standard. As you would expect from a modern smartphone today, GPS is not out of the question.

The phone running Android 1.5 is also excellent in terms of multimedia capabilities. The music player can handle AAC, AAC +, AMR NB, MIDI, MP3, Wav files, and in case of video playback, in addition to H.264, H.263, MPEG 4, YouTube video playback, MPEG 4, 3GP streams are not a problem either.

It is slowly becoming natural that support for social networking sites can’t be missed either, so we can send Facebook, My Space and Twitter messages directly from the device.

The phone is marketed in the United States by T-Mobile, but Motorola plans to make the device available in other parts of the world. No information was found on the expected price.
