Limited edition flash drives from Kingston
In recent years, portable storage has undergone great development, be it external hard drives or flash drives. The latter devices were also able to replace traditional floppy drives a few years ago when 2-, 4-, 16MB chunks became available at an affordable price.
Nowadays, of course, these storage capacities already seem amusing, but let us remember that in the Sulinetes period, which was not so long ago, we were still thinking about such capacities. Actually, for the purpose for which we recommended them, that is, this storage space was boring enough to trigger the floppy, as the disks could only hold 1,44 MB of data, and the floppy disks were also slow and vulnerable.

Then, of course, the years passed, the production technology developed a lot, so nowadays we are in a lot of gigantic provinces. The floppy has become a thing of the past, which is no wonder, as these USB gadgets are much more reliable, we can store a lot more data on them, and their transport isn’t too dangerous either. Recall how much the plates had to be protected from strong magnetic fields, how unlucky it was to take a tram, trolley to travel them. With Pendrives, you don’t have to worry about similar accidents.
Interestingly, however, USB drives don’t really want to shrink in size. We can believe this by looking only at the outer casing. The truth, on the other hand, is that nowadays, due to the low stripe width of the inserts, the size has also been drastically reduced, at least as far as the interior is concerned. The outside is already a different kind of pasta, as it is not very worthwhile to go under a certain size, because it would be difficult to use too small goods.

So nowadays, when we talk about portable storage, the vast majority think of the flash drive first. In addition to size, there’s one more thing that’s hard to change, and that is design. Aside from a few brands, we don’t come across unique solutions, be it shape or color. And we can’t really dream of buying a drive that we think is close to our individuality. Kingston’s new family is trying to change that, let’s see how successful it is!
