LG UD 3D TV - huge resolution, huge size

LG Electronics (LG) has unveiled the world’s first 84-inch (213 cm) diameter Ultra Definition (UD) 3D television in Korea.

The UD 3D TV offers 8 million pixels (3840 × 2160) resolution and stunning picture quality four times the current Full HD TV panels, thanks to LG's advanced Triple XD Engine image processing technology. Resolution Upscaler Plus allows you to display higher resolution images by converting content from an external source, such as your hard disk or user-generated content (UGC) sites.

LG has also equipped UD 3D TV with CINEMA 3D technology for an unsurpassed visual experience, making exciting innovations in surround display and entertainment available. 3D depth control allows you to fine-tune the “distance” between near and far objects on the screen, allowing you to customize the 3D experience. Also interesting is the 3D Sound Zooming feature, which produces surround sound by analyzing the location and movement of objects on the screen, the closer it gets louder, the farther away the quieter.

The rich sound of the 3 audio system of the UD 10D TV with two 15 W speakers and two 2.2 W subwoofers is the perfect complement to the extraordinary visuals of the huge screen, which together create a true cinematic experience in the living room. 

The 84-inch (213 cm) UD 3D TV will be available in Europe, Asia and North and South America from September.
