LG MS450H - Full HD network media player and MPEG-4 tuner from LG

We got to know a really nice device in LG's player equipped with network functions. He knows everything that was expected of him, plus the presence of the double DVB-T tuner is just icing on the cake. In connection with the latter, it is worth noting that the cheapest tuners on the shelves of the stores are over 20 thousand forints, those that are able to play HD broadcasts in full quality are already around 40 thousand forints. Based on the information received from LG, the price of the MS408D-P is expected to be around HUF 100, so it turns out that we have to pay almost half of this price for a device with similar knowledge intended only for receiving MPEG4 broadcasts.

And the LG player, as it turned out on previous pages, is much more than a tuner. More, because if we choose this device, we can essentially say goodbye to the HTPC swarming in the living room. The MS450H handles essentially any stock that we’ve had to keep HTPC with so far, and it even knows more about those tuners.

Let us also not forget that terrestrial digital broadcasting is the future. A few years after the digital switchover, the current analog broadcasts will be completely eliminated, leaving nothing but digital, which the LG player is perfectly capable of receiving. So this structure is made not only for the present but also for the future. It will be worth investing in, as we will be able to take care of receiving TV broadcasts for quite a few years. Here we return a little to the introduction to the article, where we mentioned that access to HD sources is still quite poor to this day, meaning that those who do not have a device capable of playing such material can only make limited use of their expensive television. LG’s player already provides some remedy for this, as it can play HD content from your own hard drive, external hard drive, or even over your home network.

So this device is already reducing our HD hunger, and if digital terrestrial broadcasting starts properly, it will further reduce it.

Finally, the verdict. We hope it doesn't seem like an exaggeration, but the MS408D-P got a high five (more precisely ten). The current bugs in the software were not included in the evaluation, the bug would have been just because we did not find any bugs in the picture and sound quality provided by the player. The promised features worked perfectly and as we discussed, any of us would love to welcome this player into your home.
