IBuyPower recommends your new machine for a LAN party

Currently, iBuyPower is still an unknown brand in Hungary, but looking at their line-up called LAN Warrior, this may change soon.

When the machine was created, the image of a massive yet portable device floated before designers, which, while not rivaling notebooks designed for gamers in terms of mobility, humiliates any of them to the point of performance. Well, looking at the end result, the engineers have successfully met both objectives, as LAN Warrior does not save in terms of power: the manufacturer already offers the cheapest version with an Intel Core i7-920 processor, but for some extra cost the customer can choose the Core i7-940 , as well as the Core i7-965 EE models. With a 3,2 GHz clock speed and four physical cores, the latter unit delivers truly amazing performance, coupled with more serious cooling: that's what iBuyPower engineers have seen, so the LAN Warrior can also be ordered with quality Asetek water cooling. It is expected that the amount of memory will not limit the performance of the central units either, as up to 12 GB of DDR3 modules can be requested in the novelty. The 1866 Mhz memories can hold up to 6 sockets, bringing up to 24 GB in total using units with adequate capacity. Graphical acceleration is basically the responsibility of an NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT card, which can be considered a bad joke at most in such a hardware environment. The two NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 units available as an option are much more suitable for the assembly, and for credit reasons, the Radeon HD 4870 X2 card from ATI's workshop may also be a good choice, also with a dual configuration. An ASUS Rampage II Gene X58 motherboard is responsible for incorporating key components, providing a perfect foundation for future expandability due to its capabilities and performance. The same can be said for storage capacity, as up to 4 3,5-inch storage devices can be used: the manufacturer ships the device with a 500 GB SATA-II hard drive as standard, but the optional components include two 300 GB It also features a Western Digital Velociraptor hard drive as well as a 80-inch Intel X2,5-M SSD that can store 25GB of data.

In addition to its wallpaper-breaking performance, Lan Warrior's greatest virtue lies in its portability: the high-quality NZXT Rogue housing demonstrates adequate solidity due to its metal components, and its compact size allows it to be carried to the LAN party by hand, thanks to the included carrying case. A tiny, but all the more useful attention is that the manufacturer has also given the configuration adequate protection against our funny-minded friends - no and the milder-handed casual visitors - as its housing and front have been given a fully lockable design.

As you may have seen from the technical data, LAN Warrior will certainly not conquer with its price: even the basic version costs almost $ 1000, but the price of buying a properly excised modification easily exceeds $ 4900 (!), Which, admittedly, is easily tearful. many.
