A major system update for the Nokia N800

An update with many innovations is available for download today.

Update 4.2007.26-8 includes support for new applications in addition to major fixes. The Internet Table OS 2007 browser has been prepared for web pages that use Adobe Flash 9 content, while we can now take advantage of Internet chat using Skype. The device has been widely criticized for its short standby time, especially when using a wireless network, so the developers have rather redesigned this part of the software. Hopefully, using wifi from now on will not drain the battery. Finally, a small but important information for a couple of N800 owners is that the device can handle 8 gigabyte memory cards after the upgrade.
