Leaked information about the Radeon HD 7000 series: does the NV renaming wave begin? As the Christmas season approaches, every user who is a little mindful of themselves and their computer will think about how to surprise themselves as they expand and strengthen their current configuration. If you are thinking of a Radeon card, read on!

At such times, we can read a lot about different tips on what is worth and what is less worth buying. There are those who are waiting for newer cards and there are those who are applying for the previous generation, which is becoming cheaper. This is because only reliable sources claim that some of the novelties are actually based on current and previous generation cards. This is mostly true for entry level and mid-range, which means the Radeon HD 7300, 7400, 7500 and 7600 models. The source outlines two possibilities for the fate of the Radeon HD 7700 family. The first - and more likely one - is that it will be based on the Juniper core it will serve (this is a 2 generation jump backwards). The other is that the 7700 series (Barts, or more severely trimmed Cayman) will be born out of the renaming of a higher-end, earlier-series GPU, and the HD 7800 will clearly promise a turbocharged Cayman-based segment. The truly new architecture and the GPU based on it will come next year under the name “Tahiti”.
