Windows Mobile 5 has been leaked to HTC Blueangel PDAs

A version of the latest Windows Mobile operating system has been leaked to the Internet.

It only runs exclusively on PDAs codenamed HTC Blueangel (T-mobile MDAIII, i-mate PDA2K, O2 XDAIIs, Qtek 9090, Orange M2000, etc.) and unfortunately only a beta version, but relatively stable. Known errors, information:
  • The brightness cannot be removed or turned off
  • It is worth unchecking the system sounds - Start -> Settings -> Sounds & Notificatons -> Events (warnings, sytem events) - because it throws a lot on performance
  • Sync requires ActiveSync 4.0 beta, which is free can be downloaded from Microsoft
  • Some items are missing from the control panel and can be replaced by installing a separate file
  • Bluetooth drivers are from Microsoft, not Widcomm, so file transfer is not possible via Blu-tooth
  • A couple of programs are not yet WM5 compatible
  • The new system uses ROM to store the data, so all data will be lost from our machine, even those in the \ Storage folder; after the upgrade, we will have less than half the space to install our programs

So the installation just recommended for entrepreneurs and they should also read the Xda-developer.com his WiKi about the progress of the update, and it is recommended to browse the forum as well. The upgrade will, of course, void your warranty. The editorial office of HardwareOC.hu does not take any responsibility for any problems or damages that may occur as a result!
