True, I had to dress better in the cold, but in return I wasn’t tied to the schedule, I didn’t have to hang out with sweaty people at peak times, and in the summer, if I wanted to, I could stop on my way home for ice cream.
Public transport would be a good thing anyway, and let's not be unfair, there is some progress in Budapest, albeit slowly. There are new buses and trams, and I think the spinning is very well done. But there is an alternative, and not only the bicycle, but also the ever-increasing number of electric means of transport. Some of these are already so cheap that it is worth calculating how long it will take to recover the price and start to generate a "profit", that is, how much we save compared to BKV (BKK) prices.
