The system was first measured with basic settings in all respects, and then a tuning was performed in the second phase. Using the built-in Level UP, the processor was simply tuned to 4600 MHz (we also did a manual test later, but didn’t get much further), while we used the XMP 2 profile for the memories, so they ran at 2133 MHz. The tests were then performed again.

ASUS did not disappoint with its two new premium models. Maximus V Extreme and Maximus V Formula are worthy descendants of the Maximus family, which now goes back many years and platforms, and the good thing about them is that although they are very similar siblings, there are some differences between the two that can decide the balance. for the benefit of one or the other. Examples include the OC Key on the side of the M5E, the Subzero Sense, the 5 full-width PCI Express busses, or the M5F with the Fusion Thermo and SupremeFX IV. We can decide what is more important to us, we will get the same standard in terms of hardware quality and tuning capabilities, whichever we choose.
These ROG products, with the usual ROG garnish that reads our site, are not the first to come across a motherboard of this kind, and with a new ROG board you can pretty much know what to expect, of course ASUS can always surprise the market with a couple of new ideas. All in all, these are two motherboards where it is difficult to find a grip on the product itself, the only question is whether we need such a motherboard, who can take advantage of the opportunities, and whether we can pay the purchase price. If the answer to every question is yes, there is nothing to wait for, get one! Of course, the purchase price can also have a say in the choice: the Maximus V Extreme can be taken home for about HUF 98, while the Maximus V Formula can be obtained for around HUF 000. These are two products that are made for a special layer, are definitely recommended to them, and we have been awarded our liking!
